Frequently Asked Questions on Bulk Uploading Campaigns in Google Ads Editor
How do I bulk upload campaigns in Google Ads Editor?
To bulk upload, first export your campaign data template from Google Ads Editor. Fill in your campaign details—such as names, budgets, targeting, and ads—then import the CSV or Excel file back into Editor using Account → Import → From file. Review the changes, fix any errors flagged, and click Post to upload everything to your live account.
What types of data can I bulk upload into Google Ads Editor?
You can upload a wide range of campaign data, including campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, extensions, audiences, and bid adjustments. The tool supports CSV and Excel (.xlsx) formats, making it easy to edit and upload large volumes of data in one go.
Can I bulk edit campaigns before uploading them?
Yes. Google Ads Editor allows you to make mass edits offline—such as changing budgets, updating ad copy, or adjusting targeting—before pushing the updates live. This offline editing process helps avoid mistakes and saves significant time when managing multiple accounts or campaigns.
What should I do if my bulk upload shows errors?
If you see errors, open the Error panel in Google Ads Editor. The tool will highlight the affected rows and provide explanations (e.g., invalid URLs, missing fields, or unsupported formats). Correct the data in your file or directly within the interface, then re-import or re-post the changes.
