Frequently Asked Questions on How to Set Up Aggregated Event Measurement in Meta Ads Manager

What is Aggregated Event Measurement (AEM) in Meta Ads?

AEM is Meta’s protocol that limits tracking to 8 prioritized conversion events per domain so ads continue to run under iOS14+ privacy rules.

Do I need to verify my domain before setting up AEM?

Yes. Domain Verification is mandatory to assign and prioritise events. Without verification, you cannot configure AEM.

How many conversion events can I configure under AEM?

You can assign up to 8 events per verified domain. Events can be Standard Events or Custom Conversions.

Can I track more than 8 events if I use server-side tracking (CAPI)?

You can send unlimited events through CAPI, but AEM still limits optimization to 8 prioritized ones.
