Frequently Asked Questions on Optimised Targeting in Google Ads Display Campaigns

What is Optimised Targeting in Google Display campaigns?

Optimised Targeting uses Google’s machine learning to find users beyond your selected audiences who are likely to convert. It expands reach automatically based on conversion signals, not vibes.

Does Optimised Targeting ignore my chosen audiences?

Nope. Your selected audiences act as signals, not limits. Google starts there, learns fast, then масштабирует to similar high-intent users.

When should I use Optimised Targeting?

Use it when you have conversion tracking set up and at least some historical data. It slaps hardest in performance-driven campaigns (leads, sales), not pure awareness.

Can I turn Optimised Targeting off?

Yes, but only at the ad group level for Display campaigns. Turning it off means stricter audience control but slower learning — choose wisely, брат 😏
