How to Install the TikTok Pixel via Google Tag Manager (GTM)


Step 1️: Access your TikTok Ads Manager




Step 2️: Hover on Assets and click on Events




Step 3️: Click on "Manage" under Web Events




Step 4: Create or find your TikTok Pixel


Create a TikTok Pixel:


1. Click "Create Pixel"

2. Select Manual Setup


3. Name the Pixel


4. Skip Funnel Building


5. Check on Custom Code


6. Click "View Instructions" under Custom Code



Find your TikTok Pixel:


1. Click on your TikTok Pixel


2. Click on Settings


3. Scroll to Event Setup and find the TikTok Pixel


4. Click on "View Base Code"



Step 5: Copy the Pixel Code




Step 6: Navigate to your Google Tag Manager




Step 7: Create a New Tag and name the Tag





Step 8: Select "Custom HTML" under Tag Configuration




Step 9: Paste the Pixel Code




Step 10: Select "All Pages" as the Trigger




Step 11: Save and Publish your Google Tag Manager Container








How to Verify if Your TikTok Pixel is Firing Correctly


Step 1️: Preview your Tag Manager



The Google Tag Assistant will open. Insert your website URL and connect the website.


Two pages will open: Your website with the Tag Assistant Connected and the Tag Assistant.




Step 2️: Under Tags Fired, you should see your newly created Tag
